7 years 8 months ago - 7 years 8 months ago #33173 by Leong Kwong
This is an old juni that has been sitting neglected till couple of years ago. Nothing has been done and what you see is what it is. Is has three branches two on the top comes alsmost from the same spot. the third from 4-5cm lower. The shari is as you see, no work done. The pictures are difficult to see will try to get some more pics, see if anyone would like to have a go styling this juni. Thank you.
Yours sinceely.
Leong.

Great material, i like the shari and i presume this feature would probably be used as a front view, as for styling this one looks like a real challange, cant wait to see a styled tree very interesting.

Hi Leong,

Once again what fantastic material to work with, by the looks of it there are countless possibilities. I really like the mystique the tree has already, when I saw the photo the first thing that came to mind was it reminded me of old Chinese and Japanese scrolls where some depict an old tree on a cliff where multiple branches cascade down, the foliage at the ends gives an illusion of clouds. I do think this tree has such potential.

The tree, even in that one photo has a real Yamadori feel to it. Wild, yet elegant (even with the foliage as it is) and with any future design, if it were mine, I would try to retain as much of that feeling as possible.

I have done a crude virt to give you an idea of where I would go with it (or thereabouts):

* It's pretty rough but hopefully you get the idea.

Food for thought in anycase.

Cheers

David
