Hi Ben

I missed it this year as I usually get there to the Olympic Center to have a look for timber as well for display tables.

There is a company that is an exhibitor there and they have a shop / warehouse out at Mulgrave near Windsor.

Hi Ben

No probs better late than never

I use Feast Watson Wipe On Poly in satin from the big green shed, it doesn't darken the timber as much.

I have to keep out of Trend Timbers in Mulgrave www.trendtimbers.com.au

I had a chance to call in and have a quick walk through last month when I was down for an overnight visit to Penrith.

I picked up some European Beech to make a Bonsai Table from and noticed that they have a lot of the natural edged slabs, burls like you have if anyone wanted some.

That reminds me I should get going on that project.

I also noticed that they have a zebra patterned timber and a purple colored timber, but they would be the most expensive bonsai tables on the planet.

If you go there they have a sign saying that upstairs they have all the wood turning blocks, it's worth a look as they have a lot of pieces that would make good companion plant stands.
