It is an interesting rule, and one that has been changed recently.

Check this out. Listen to the contribution from Ricky Stewart in the video......i am so glad he's on the other side. He's an embarrassment, blue's would be better off without him, but thats just stating the obviously, isn't it.

Anyone ever noticed the difference between league players and coaches interviews and rugby union players and coaches interviews? No comparison, the league guys appear to be almost illiterate whilst the union guys are articulate and show respect for their opposition etc. Don't know why league has to be like this. Horses for courses I guess.

Pete,

Yep have definately noticed this.

I can tell you the major reason why.

Union is generally a private school sport (at least in Sydney anyway) whereas league is more of a public school sport. I know thatt may sound arrogant and very UN-PC but it's the truth.

Reminds me of an old saying I once heard "League is a gentlemens game played by thugs, Union is a thugs game played by gentlemen"

Incidently, for the record, I spent my schooling career both at public and private schools.

Assume nothing, question everything.

Your spot on Dave,

In the UK Union was always a game played at private schools & Uni, it was generally a game for the more privileged in life, dunno why thats, just the way it was/is.

And I agree with your take on league players, sometimes I don't even understand what they are trying to say, maybe they don't either lol ;)
