Great looking tree! Tried to look it up in Google but the pictures in Google has this tree with big Mango like leaves... What species is this one? AND is it in Australia?

Cheers

HI - I can't be sure what species of Terminalia it is as I can't see a close up of the leaves. There are plenty of Terminalia species native to Australia, most have big leaves but one Terminalia microcarpa probably has small enough leaves for bonsai. This is a truly magnificent tree - Terminalia actually have that pine tree like branching. cheers, Ash

Hi - I haven't been able to find this Terminalia fontalia other than the IBC link. The pictured plant doesn't look much like a Terminalia too me. I'll keep searching.
Regarding Terminalia microcarpa - this is what we previously called Terminalia muelleri so you may find it under that name. It is a lovely big tree from tropical Australia and has the smallest leaves of the Australian Terminalia. They are still pretty big though - about the size of Queensland Small Leaf Fig. Come flowering time its flowers smell...ummm....not fresh....giving rise to the common name 'dead horse tree'. Ash
