Ok, they will most likely be amazing gigantic bonsais. And I can appreciate that, but isn’t the original concept to miniaturise nature into a pot and be cared and nurtured?

Yes there is a bit of that. most of my Vietnamese friends like them big maybe a bit of the small man syndrome :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:

Here is a chart check out the size of the imperial bonsai that's 2030mm and they are measured from the top of the pot to the tip of the tree.

I’m aware of these categories and understand, but the average joe blow thinks that bonsais are small. Maybe not the enthusiasts, being one of them.... here’s a pic of mine, a Chinese elm, pot top to tree top is 104cms tall
