Azalea after flowering

1 week 5 days ago #61162 by Leong Kwong
What would you do with azalea after flowering. Most people just leave it as it is to let the flower falls off by itself. Some would pick off the spent flowers. From experience growing azaleas when it finishes flower one should pull off the seed pods and the sheaf altogether. In doing so energy will be save and directed towards formation of the new shoots and with fertilising will enhance next season's flowering. Here is before and after flowering after cleaning.
