Saw quite a few of these in the national park the other day and thought they might be a good bonsai project.
just dont have any idea what they are....
Im looking for sydney native plants for bonsai

Hi Patrik

Not sure what they are but there are Claret Top Melaleuca's that have small leaves that make great forest subjects, I noticed that there is also a miniature version as well that I picked up from a local nursery for the outer trees in the one I am going to finish off shortly.

Have a look in Bonsai South I was there last Saturday and it is packed to the brim with a lot of tempting stock.

Hello Patrik,

An ID guess would be a species of Darwinia.

There is an Aus native nursery near the Royal National Park, its website attached below. I'm sure they could give you an accurate ID.
