Pinus Palustris?

2 years 2 weeks ago - 2 years 2 weeks ago #56625 by CES LOP
I think I have a Long Leaf Pine? Anyone have experience with the long leaf pine? Is it a single flush or multi flush pine ? Also, I like the height of the tree I have, if I cut the terminal candle will this begin the ramification process and send growth to the lower portion or will this stop the growth to the lower portion?

Hi Ces

I dont know anything about them and I would say not many others on the forum do as well.

I had a search and there are a lot of questions asked in America but no answers on their forums as well.

If I was you and you wanted to continue with it would be to see what it does in a season or two as in the growth habit.

If it helps there is a little on it here but no answers for what you asked.

But there are images as bonsai but they could be a slash pine and not the long leaf that you have.
