I didnt worry too much about the negative space, its looking penjing to me and the balance is good.

Hahah thanks Adam. Not sure about the pot tho lol.. suggestions were for the pot to be half as deep but a little wider.
I feel this tree is more on a femanam side of things so clothes off is just fine.. lol....each for there own hey Jc!

Hi Mark

OK time to mention the pot sorry I just think that it can be better not that there is anything wrong with a semi-cascade pot or having a nice tall swanky penjing in it.

But I think that the tree is way too good for that pot, so how would it look in a shallow forest tray on a slight hill with some small rocks or not, maybe just a winding path to it.

Or someone maybe can suggest a different direction regarding a pot to make it more stunning, this will be good in the right setting / pot in all seasons.

Here is little touch up where I feel this elm should be with a rectangular pot and lifting the branches up a little and shorten the height. Just my thought if it is my tree. Still need a fair amount of twigging as it grows, is not final. My thoughts are some time off so my apology first:(
