A couple of figs getting new pots

4 years 5 months ago #47808 by Shane Martin
Hi everyone,
Here are a couple of small ficus getting some new pots. First one is a Ficus Nerifolia in the Broom style. It started off as a root cutting only 3yrs ago, and apart from selecting the three main trunks, (yes there is a third one lurking back there), have done very little to it bar the odd pinch. The pot is Tosui....one of the first ones I ever purchased some 30yrs ago from Lindsay Bebbs old nursery in Brisbane. It measures 10ins W x 7ins D x 2.5ins H.
The next tree is a Queensland Small Leaf, originally grown by Shannon, and is developing pretty nicely. Been struggling a bit with Sooty Mould and Scale on my Queensland figs.... All the others ficus are pest and disease free.

nice Shane, the bottom left branch on the nerifolia is a little low for my liking
have you thought about removing it ?

Bottom left or bottom right Adam?
I think the bottom right is technically, and yes it could or should go.
Come summer this one will get a pretty savage hair cut and some good ferts.
