Please help - Root knot nematode

4 years 9 months ago #48710 by trent quinn-schofield
Please help!!!!!

Does anyone have any advice in eradicating/ controlling root knot nematode in my bonsai collection?

I was recently repotting two of my bonsai which are 20 plus years old (due to a different issue) when I found they both had root knot nematodes and possibly a third one.

Although not amazing bonsais they have great sentimental value and I would do anything to save them!!!!!

I have recently repotted and removed all infected roots I could and will be drenching in neem all tomorrow.

I have about 20 odd bonsais and I am concerned with them also getting this dreaded disease.

Once again despite being an organic gardener I am prepared to do anything to save my trees!!!

Thanks :

Thanks Daniel

I watched the video but he didn't really provide any answers other than cut them off which I have done.

Appreciate the video though.

Cheers

Hi Trent i looked on Wikipedia and found a reference to control of root knot nematodes .
It said root knot nematodes can be controlled with biocontrol agents Paecilomyces Lilacinus , Pasteuria Pentrans(10) and Juglone(11) .
So if you read what you can about these chemicals you may find an answer .
