I seem to be inundated with forum post notifications every day.

Is there a way I can select a global "Unsubscribe" from the new post notification system? I have found a way to unsubscribe thread by thread but that seems a little tedious.

I'm on the verge of tagging the post notifications as spam.

So what if you are paranoid? There might still be someone following you...

Hi Folks,

I have changed the settings so Notification is OFF by default unless you check "Subscribe" check box below.

Before this was ON by default, so you were pounded :)

Well, this is a sign of a busy forum! But less is more, I understand :)

Thanks for highlighting this!

Good one Brenden - most of us visit each day anyway and my mail box was getting hammered.

If you continue to do today, the same as you did yesterday, you will get the same results tomorrow.

I like the notifications, i use MS outlook as my mail app and have setup a folder in my inbox called BonSouth and created a rule that all mail from ......... gets delivered into that folder. It seperates the work from the play, and is easy to manage.

I do something similar for all my work emails, Peter. I get 70 to 100 of them each day and categorise them and all sent emails into a family of about 35 separate PST files for safekeeping.

I have to keep them, but I figure that post notifications are secondary to logging in and seeing the red tags on the forum headings.

Email management is an art in itself. My organisation is very pro-email.

Today alone I read and sent 161 emails and meeting requests.

Colors, rules, etcs all help. My best tip is to set aside email time. An open outlook is a major distraction. But I am also a hipocrit, as I rarely close mine :)
