Picked up this Lilly Pilly,,,,, rootbound and all,and very gnarly, pretty dam happy for a crack at it for $10 at the old nursery as mentioned in the Penjing Section.

So two strands of 5mm wire on, just looking for a little wobble in the trunk and tilt to you and that will do, after finding the best root nebari look, tip it out and with some removable of extra branching and wait to see if it lives and then will wire branches to placement...smother the surface roots for now and wait...:)

Hi guys our little tree is keen to grow with new growth hardening off so we stripped the trunk wire off with it set there and wired the silhouette in and tipped the terminals leaves again.

And also very lucky to get a handy shoot down low...might be able to use that,...they say growth cycles in and out every 8 weeks approx , we will see with the cooler seasons....cheers

After tipping growth out some more handy inner was grown and some thin branches removed, cut the top down a little for some new shoots to push up.

Trimmed again only where needed now,...and brought the sub trunk/branch up to the main for a bit more substance and to distract the eye on the lean main trunk.

the tree threw a adventures shoot low so we will see where it wants to go for now, anyway there you go, it does not stay still for long, the nebari or whats of it will stayed buried for now..,in itsTRAINING POT and TRAINING GRAVEL
