Hi There

Ok, I found this on the net and thought it would be a great topic for a discussion.

What would you change to take this composition to a higher level to make it pop even more

JC,

I'm far from an authority but I'd put it on a tray or flat/curved rock - anything but away from the pot would at least start the conversations.

I think with a change in pot/tray colour would enhance it more, a bit of distraction at the moment?

Hi JC
Apart from a pot change the next thing I think might help is texturing the rocks further.
Seems like the curved apex rock and larger foreground rock are a bit too smooth/round
The rock on left of your pic looks more or less like the others should be I think.
ATM the tree tops and rock tops are too similar in shape for me.
Mind you adding extra texture to volcanic rock is not as easy as it sounds I have discovered.

Its obvious the trees are very healthy and very well trimmed
And is a nice composition but for me a little too symmetrical
