This is one of the cedars I picked up from bonsai South a few months back. Since I love the cascading style so much I thought it would be nice to grow this as such (even tho it's not the typical style for a cedar). So I had 2 choices leave it as is in the pot and shorten the top and grow the bottom branch out or go for something more instant and turn it on its side. So I cheated and turned it on its side

ill find the thread and bring it back up for you to see mark
Thanks Adam. I'll eventually get this into a good pot too but I want to give it plenty of room and a few years to grow first.
Keep the progress pics coming Adam.

Hi all.
Just an update on this one. I'm calling it "the blob". I think it's time to reduce some of the foliage mass, to much for how thin the trunk is and Yes there is a trunk underneath the blob. I will make a start on it tonight and over the next few nights hopefully it will look half decent again.
Cheers

I got stuck into it last night, with the removal of almost half the foliage You can now see the structure alot better. I think there is still to much foliage but I'll take another look tonight.
What do you recon, any input would be great.
Cheers

Hi all.
Well, just under 12hrs of work (on and off) over the last few days It finally came to an end.
Branches and needles thinned out and everything rewired. Unfortunately I don't feel the photos do it justice but at least you get an idea.
Cheers.
