Hi all, I'm looking at getting this timer for when I'm not around. Has anyone had experience with this brand and or timer specifically. Cheers.

Yes I use a Holman also, twin one, and works well. I tried the pope version but did not work for me.

Just need to monitor it, especially if you turn the main tap on and off regularly as it can lock
up.

Hi Mark

Hope you are going for the drippers rather than the sprays.

This is another thing that you might want to consider I have posted this before that one of the orchid guys put me onto it can be placed at the tap end and removed when you don't want it. I also use it for the garden and the granules last for ages.
It is best removed between waterings and allowed to dry out. by standing on one end.

Link for the spare granules. www.ebay.com.au/p/Fertiliser-Magamp-Nutr...=183629039465&chn=ps

Mark ,that looks like a great setup, with the solinoid /valves in the unit. I like the fert applicator JC, it make fertilizing very accurate. What type if drippers do you use with your irrigation system JC?

Hi Rod

I'm not a lover of the auto systems, I use the following.
Available here for those that want the best.
Takagi Watering Wand
hosefactory.com.au/index.php?route=produ...id=407&search=takagi

How do you like my watering lady?

I agree jc, I dont think they are not a healthy option for your trees . Unfortunately I need to use one for when I'm away, I like the look of the watering wand... nice?

They work a treat, if you have good water pressure they will reach 3 meters plus easy.

Strong and easy to clean if the spray head gets blocked as the holes are small for the fine spray, much like fine rain.

They were developed for the nursery trade and only released to the general public recently.

Thanks everyone, I won't be using it full time but I'm going overseas for 6 weeks at the end of the year. I don't want to rely on our house sitters to water my trees, orchids, veggie patch, orchard and the gardens everyday so this is just piece of mind really. I like watering by hand usually, some interaction with my plants is good for the sole lol...but true..
Jc how much for one those wands? Pm me if you want.
Cheers

Hi Mark

$69 on the link at the hose factory who is the importer, you may get them cheaper at a nursery but I don't think so.

Might sound dear but these are top quality and for me worth every dollar.

BTW: If you are in a club you could see if there was some interested and give the hose factory a call and you may get a discount.
