Juniper pruning advice

3 months 1 day ago #61506 by Matt
Hi, I made this cute little guy a year or so back...still happy with how it looks. But some of the new growth is very vigorous. Should I be pruning the tips off the really long new shoots?

Oh, no expense spared on the pot lol. If the shops open I need to get in there and buy 4-5 pots.

Hi Matt

I think I would be letting it grow on as it will thicken up the branches and you could wire the pads flat.

Hey JC, yeah, that was my ‘84 XJS. It’s still in my driveway but I’ve actually sold it - the guy is really taking his time giving me the last few grand.

That photo was taken by Unique Cars when they did a feature on it maybe 10 years ago.

Great car, but not a cheap hobby.

Not at the moment, I changed careers and hardly ever drive anymore. When I was in manufacturing I used to drive every day to whatever factory I was working at. I’ve moved into IT so I do a lot of work from home and travel to other states and NZ to meet customers. Maybe one day....

Added a touch of wire, but got caught in the rain and now it’s dark. This one will be good till December now.
