Melaleuca Styphelioides

1 month 4 days ago #61906 by Dylan
Hi all,
Ive just found myself a really healthy cutting of Prickly Paperbark that i think would make a wonderful bonsai but im quite new to all this and need some advice. (for reference, only bought my first juniper recently, but have spent hours reading and watching videos)
The cuttings (around 10mm thick) are propagating now with hormone powder, but in the mean time i wonder if anyone has had any experience with them?
I've read they prefer spots near rivers, so i believe they like quite sandy soil like many natives, but ive been reading conflicting info on Melaleuca and wanted to make sure i dont do the wrong thing.
any advice would be appreciated.
Cheers

Hi Dylan

Thanks for joining up on Bonsai South.

I can't help you other than offering this as they are a specific native bonsai club and if you reach out I'm sure there will be a lot of info for you.
